As part of its commitment to nation building through education and other initiatives, JBIT has always supported sports, sports events and encouraged sporting talent. Such commitment is reflected in the achievements of its students and alumni.
Sports is an excellent means of developing confidence, team spirit and self-control. It teaches us to accept victory with humility and defeat without resentment. The lessons learnt on the playground stay with us all our lives. Sports definitely renders invaluable help in shaping students’ personalities
Beneficial use is related to the physical and social rewards that goal-directed activity instills in individuals or groups.. Goal-directed outdoor activities are predominantly physical, though they may also be mentally, emotionally, and spiritually rewarding.
Badminton Court
Physical training, games, and athletics are used to encourage physical growth and a healthy competitive spirit. The institute includes a large number of playing fields and offers facilities for sports like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and table tennis. While professional personnel is constantly on hand to provide supervision, students are given ample opportunity for initiative and leadership. Training is provided during Physical Education classes and outside of institute hours. Inter-House competitions in all sports, as well as Athletic and Sports Meets, assist students in maintaining a culture of healthy competition and sportsmanship.

Within the college site, there are separate football and cricket grounds. These are frequently used in social or family settings, or when darkness or bad weather prevents people from going outside.
