RULES & REGULATION

Students are expected to behave diligently and follow the basic decorum throughout – 

  • Entry in the library is only allowed in proper college uniform. Casual attire is strictly prohibited inside the library.
  • It is mandatory to carry Identity and Library Card.
  • Reader should maintain silence in the library and should not disturb others.
  • Books will be issued to a student for 15 days at a time. The book bank, however, shall be issued to a student for the entire semester.
  • Reference books and rare books shall not be issued; they can only be referred to, in the library. However, in special circumstances, an overnight issue is allowed.
  • Books once selected have to be taken to the library staff for issuing it on the student’s name.
  • Bags/handbags or any sort of belongings are not allowed in the library and are to be deposited at the counter; only one book/notebook is allowed. Eatables and drinkables are also strictly prohibited inside the library.
  • The library attendant at the entrance is authorized to examine everything that passes into /from the library.
  • Students should refrain from indulging in any destructive activity involving damaging the library property i.e. reading material, furniture etc.
  • Once issued, students are prohibited from taking the borrowed and stamped books, inside the library.
  • If the due date for returning an issued book falls on a holiday, the next working day will be taken as the due date.
  • If any book is lost, the responsible person shall replace it with a new copy or pay a double cost of the recent price along with handling charges or as may be, decided by the librarian.
  • Any kind of marking, underlining, clipping of books is absolutely forbidden. Readers shall be held responsible for any damage done to the books and shall be required to replace such books or pay the value thereof.
