  1. Chairperson :
    • Leadership and Oversight: Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance to the SGRC committee, ensuring its effective functioning.
    • Prompt and Fair Resolution: Ensure that grievances are addressed promptly and fairly, in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
    • Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to committee members in conducting grievance resolution processes.
    • Compliance: Ensure that grievance resolution processes adhere to legal requirements and institutional policies.
    • Communication: Serve as a liaison between the SGRC committee and the broader institution, communicating outcomes and recommendations as necessary.
  1. Faculty Representatives:
    • Expertise in Educational Matters: Provide expertise in educational matters and contribute to resolving student grievances related to teaching, evaluation, or curriculum issues.
    • Gender and Diversity Representation: Ensure gender diversity within the committee by nominating at least one female faculty member.
    • Representation of Marginalized Communities: Ensure representation from marginalized communities (SC/ST/OBC) by nominating a faculty member belonging to these categories.
