Anti Drug Cell
The College has an Anti-Drugs Cell in place to curb the menace of substance abuse among youngsters. A vigilant committee is functional to ensure a drug-free campus with a total ban on the possession/consumption/sale/use of any kind of illegal substance and alcohol by students of the college, within or outside the campus.
Objectives
- To ensure a drug-free campus
- To educate the students about the ill-effects of drugs
- To encourage and engage the students to actively participate in awareness programmes in the campus and outside
- To provide counselling to students who display tendencies towards drugs / alcohol use
- To encourage peer policing among students against any sort of substance abuse and reporting any noticed use of drugs to the Cell
- To motivate the students to become volunteers of anti-drug activities during the course of their lives
Activities-
- Observe Anti-Drug Day in the campus
- Create awareness regarding ill effects of drug abuse, as part of the Induction programme for the first year students
- Conduct poster presentations / street plays / anti-drug rallies / distribute flyers in the campus premises and outside
- Participate in the outreach programmes, in co-ordination with Narcotic Control Bureau
