ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

               The Grievance Redressal Committee at JB Institute of Technology, Dehradun, operates with distinct roles and responsibilities assigned to its members to ensure the effective handling and resolution of grievances. These roles and responsibilities include: 

  1. Chairperson:
    • Leadership and Oversight: The Chairperson oversees the Grievance Redressal Committee, ensuring its operations align with institutional policies and objectives. They set the agenda for committee meetings, facilitate discussions, and ensure that decisions are made promptly and efficiently.
    • Presiding Officer: In committee meetings, the Chairperson serves as the presiding officer, guiding the proceedings, maintaining order, and ensuring that all members can express their views. They facilitate constructive dialogue and encourage collaborative problem-solving among committee members.
    • Decision-making: The Chairperson plays a crucial role in decision-making processes. They synthesize input from committee members, consider relevant evidence and arguments, and guide the committee toward consensus or resolution. They may also cast a deciding vote in the event of a tie.
    • Communication and Representation: As the committee’s primary spokesperson, the Chairperson communicates its decisions, recommendations, and actions to relevant stakeholders, including complainants, respondents, institutional leadership, and external parties. They also represent the committee’s interests in interactions with external agencies or authorities.
